How do you welcome potential customers in to your business?

Following on from my recent post Why Can’t Small Businesses Sell? – I thought I would share a posting on another blog that I read:  Better Business Blogging.

Mark White wrote Blogs as Mat Making Machines and I think he does a great job explaining how blogging and all the other things we can do on the internet (from links to AdWords) make great welcome mats to our websites.

So what sort of website strategy are you taking?

    1.  Design a corporate brochure style, 5 page website that looks very pretty, professional but is essential static, floating around in internet space waiting for people to type in that all important url.

    Or

    2.  Do you put out the welcome mats and invite prospect customers to visit your website?

Hint – I hope it is the second one

    Karen,

Thanks for the mention and I'm glad that the post hit a few key points for you. You certainly seem to be creating lots of "welcome mats" here with your blog and with your newsletters and so long may that continue!

And congrats on going international - great news!

    All the best, Mark
